It isn't the best polished game but it's pretty fun. I'm missing a leaderboard to

I'm sure it is a good game but you uploaded an empty file for advertisement? come on... :/

Well, the mechanics are what they supposed to be. Obviously there's a lot of room for improvement. Some more room for more error would be great. Graphics are bad. I'm sure you can do better then that.

That's not the reason why I gave this one star though: there's a big bug in there. You can manage to get your mouse outside the screen with the score still getting higher. My score just reached over 5000... hehehehe. That's not acceptable in any game.

Anyway, keep trying, work on your graphics, learn some new code, add some sound,... you'll get better.

I think a lot of us are wondering what the assignment was. Anyway, I'm missing a challenge, collecting those big red dots can't be considered one... maybe add stuff to avoid (but then you would have some form of pacman :p). Also, add an ingame mute button or keybind it to the m key. Mechanics are good and I don't really have an oppinion on the graphics, not sure what to think of them.

I saved the girl in all my awesomeness! Nah but seriously, this is a damn good start, I hope you guys manage to finish it. I'm personnaly no fan of the battle system, I like a more active approach. A variaty of weapons, lot's of freedom, different areas and enemies are also a big pro for me in an rpg. I don't think there's a lot more to say at this point, I would be happy to give it another go when there is some more content.

Thanks for your comments. Im glad you enjoyed it. (even though it was just a small amount) So far im hearing a lot of people who want a more active battle system. We are planning on having a meeting and discussing our goals going forward and this will be one of the top topics. Lots of areas and enemies are planned as well.

Nice graphics, fun to play for a few minutes. But a game like this screams for a leaderboard and the hitbox of your sponsor link is to big. It's really easy to accidently click it when aiming for the music button.

I'm sure there is a niche audience for this but it's not my cup of tea. Interesting game nevertheless!

This is either a very, very slow advancing game or it's lagging like crazy on my pc? At what framerate is this supposed to run? I right clicked and it says I have an average framerate of 12 fps :/

The controls are a bit akward. Especially jumping, I think it has something to do with your collision detection which is questionable to. I made it to level 2, fell down and nothing is happening. There is only one level finished? Anyway, a good platformer takes a lot of time and dedication, you should not aim for making such a game if you haven't got the time or skill. Try something simpler first before reattempting something like this.

NoFatAsiansPlz responds:

Sorry about that, the level 2 part wasn't suppose to be in the game. Every week I release a new level and some how I forgot that this SWF holds level 2 that is currently in the works. The collision detection i'm having trouble on which really bugs me a lot, but I later ignore it. The controls for the game will be change and I know that AWF is a bit weird for a platformer, so you're like the 30th person to tell me that.

For a first game this isn't bad. Still it's a pong game... giving it some glow doesn't make it much more interesting. Noaw come up with something simple, but more original.
